ATHENS BOYS BASKETBALL ROLLS PAST BRUCE IN DIVISION 5 REGIONAL SEMIFINAL

ATHENS – The Athens boys basketball team will host a regional final after posting a 73-57 victory over Bruce in a WIAA Division 5 regional semifinal Friday night at Athens High School.
Kody Lepak scored 21 points, Cooper Diedrich added 20, and Connor Sheahan had four 3-pointers and 17 points for the Bluejays in the home win.
The No. 4 seed Athens (20-6) will host No. 8 Chippewa Falls McDonell (13-13) in a D-5 regional final Saturday at 7 p.m. McDonell upset No. 1 seed Clear Lake on the road Friday night, 43-39.
Aiden janke added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Athens.
