AMHERST TAKES CARE OF SHIOCTON IN SIX

SHIOCTON - The Amherst Falcons toppled the Shiocton Chiefs 11-1 in six innings on the road Tuesday night in high school baseball action.
Falcons starting pitcher Landon Moe went six complete innings giving up just one hit while striking out six. The win moves the Falcons overall record to 4-2 and 2-0 in the Central Wisconsin East.
Moe was helped offensively by Ben Lee and Jake Hoffman, who each went 2-for-3 from the plate. Lee added three RBI, scored twice, and stole one base. Hoffman hit a double, stole a base, and scored three times.
In the loss, Chiefs starting pitcher Caden Schmidt gave up six hits and walked five in five innings on the mound. Dawson Schmidt had a triple and the Chiefs' solo run batted in.
Up next for Amherst is a road trip to Bonduel (4-0) on Thursday with first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
