AMHERST DUMPS IOLA-SCANDINAVIA 11-0

AMHERST, WI - The Amherst Falcons baseball team improved it's season record to 7-3 with a five-inning win at home Monday night over Iola-Scandinavia (0-5).
The Falcons saw starting pitcher Landon Moe go all five innings, giving up two hits and striking out four. Tanner Coles was the losing pitcher of record, working three innings giving up three earned runs and walking six.
From the plate, Wyatt Blaskowski impressed for the Falcons with a three-for-three effort including four runs batted in and added a stolen base. Tyler Soulsby had a pair of hits and two runs scored to help the Amherst offensive attack.
The Amherst win keeps them atop the Central Wisconsin East conference standings at 4-0, a half game lead over Bonduel (3-1). A busy week for Amherst continues with a road game at Menomonie Indian (2-2) on Thursday and a Saturday triangular at Rosholt (6-1) that begins with the Greenwood Indians (3-3) at 12:30pm.
