AMHERST BASEBALL SHUTS DOWN WITTENBERG-BIRNAMWOOD

WITTENBERG – Tyler Soulsby and Ben Lee combined on a one-hitter as the Amherst baseball team shut out Wittenberg-Birnamwood 2-0 in a Central Wisconsin Conference East Division game Tuesday at Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.
Soulsby allowed one hit and two walks in six innings, and Lee finished things up with a scoreless seventh inning for the Falcons.
Wyatt Blaskowski, Matt Glodowski and Tyler Kennedy each had two hits in the win for Amherst, which is now 13-5 overall and 8-1 in the CWC East. The Falcons lead the standings with three conference games remaining.
Amherst hosts Bonduel on Thursday.
