AMHERST – The Amherst baseball team clinched its first conference championship since 2012 with a 9-2 win over Menominee Indian on Thursday at Amherst High School.
Jake Hoffman had three hits, two RBIs and four stolen bases, Landon Moe added three hits, and Tyler Soulsby threw four scoreless innings to earn the win for Amherst.
Amherst runs its record to 15-5 overall and 10-1 in the Central Wisconsin Conference East Division with one conference game remaining at home against Bonduel on Monday.
