ABBOTSFORD/COLBY BASEBALL RACKS UP 16 HITS, BLOWS PAST PHILLIPS

ABBOTSFORD – The Abbotsford/Colby baseball team had 16 hits and scored in every inning, rolling to a 13-3 five-inning win over Phillips in a Marawood Conference North Division game Tuesday at Red Arrow Park.
Ross Elmhorst struck out 10 in four innings to earn the win, and also had a double, a triple, a single and an RBI in the victory for the Falcons (13-5, 6-2 Marawood North).
Brandon Diedrich also had three hits, including a double and a triple, and drove in three for Abby/Colby.
Cade Faver, Hunter Soyk, Nick Olvera and Blake Bargender each contributed two hits as well for the Falcons.
The two teams will meet again Thursday at Phillips.
