PRENTICE – Abbotsford/Colby scored in all five of its at-bats and rolled past Prentice 14-0 in a Marawood Conference North Division baseball game Tuesday at Prentice High School.
Hunter Soyk and Brandon Diedrich combined on a one-hit shutout over five innings for Abby/Colby. Soyk struck out eight in three innings and Diedrich had six strikeouts in two innings.
Marco Olvera had two hits and three RBIs, and Diedrich had two doubles and two RBIs in the win for the Falcons, who improve to 12-5 overall and 5-2 in the Marawood North. Prentice falls to 1-15 and 0-7 in conference play.
Ross Elmhorst and Soyk each added two hits and an RBI in the victory.
The two teams meet again Thursday at Red Arrow Park in Abbotsford.
