ABBOTSFORD BOYS BASKETBALL DEFEATS PITTSVILLE FOR FIRST WIN OF SEASON

ABBOTSFORD – The Abbotsford boys basketball team earned its first win of the season with a 50-35 defeat of Pittsville in a nonconference game Tuesday at Abbotsford High School.


The Falcons led by four points at halftime before blowing it open, outscoring Pittsville by 11 in the second half.


Brandon Diedrich scored 20 points, Adam Diedrich had 11 points and eight rebounds, and Esteban Gomez chipped in 10 points for Abbotsford, which is now 1-3. Pittsville falls to 0-2.


Abbotsford will play a Marawood Conference crossover game at Wausau Newman Catholic on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.


Pittsville will open its Central Wisconsin Conference South Division schedule at home against Tri-County on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
