
Kyle Dunphy Named Kaukauna Softball Coach
The Kaukauna Activities Department is happy to announce that Coach Kyle Dunphy will be the next leader and Head Coach of our cherished Softball program. Coach Dunphy has led our JV team for the past 10 years, preparing athletes for the varsity level and forging strong relationships with our student athletes. Coach Dunphy has also been a teacher in our district for 21 years and is keenly in tune with the culture and expectations of our student athletes. Additionally, Coach Dunphy is a High School Student Council Advisor and has coached Middle School boys and girls basketball and track & Field.
As a teacher, Coach Dunphy was awarded the Fox Cities Chamber 2025 Excellence in Education Shining Star Award, an award that recognizes educators for their key role in inspiring students at all levels to prepare them for our future workforce.
Coach Dunphy holds a Bachelors of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Educational Psychology. Regarding his education, Coach Dunphy stated, “I wanted to learn more about how students learn and how I can support them. I felt that emphasizing educational psychology would help the students and me in the future!” Coach Dunphy has a history of service to the Kaukauna Area School District and our Nation.
Coach Dunphy served in the Air National Guard from 1996-2006 and was activated by the Air Force in 2003 where he served a total of three deployments to the Middle East.
All of this coaching experience, classroom expertise, education, and service has the Kaukauna Activities Department confident that Coach Dunphy is ready to lead our Softball program!!
